Gas
Turbines
Proposed for the
Arkansas Plant (click on photo to enlarge) |

Three gas turbines and three HRSG's generate 7.5 MW of
electricity and provide process steam.
rem ENGINEERING,
Inc. investigated several cogeneration possibilities
for a large Arkansas based poultry company. Gas turbines equipped
with waste heat boilers, diesel engines, and spark ignited,
natural gas fired engines were three scenarios rem
ENGINEERING analyzed. A plant design
that combined three gas fired, Allison 501 KB, combustion
turbines, each equipped with a waste heat recovery boiler,
was selected.
rem ENGINEERING
provided the thermodynamic design, selected suitable equipment
(new or used), priced the facility, selected installation
contractors and developed proforma. By working closely with
our client, rem addressed independent concerns and needs.
A well designed plant will achieve or exceed the client's
process and economic goals.
The proposed plant, using three gas turbines with HRSGs,
and the returns it generated were attractive to our customer.
This study/proposal was accepted by the client and used to
renegotiate lower utility rates. This project saved millions
of dollars in annual electric bills for our customer.
Mr. Jim Doss was our contact at this large poultry company.
He has agreed to serve as a reference for rem
ENGINEERING. Mr. Doss can be contacted
by fax at (501) 290-4067.
