rem specializes in the custom design and project management of cogeneration, power generation and energy conservation systems. We are proud of our ability to consistently develop power projects for clients with unusual operating parameters.

Creativity and the willingness to put forth the additional effort required to customize a power generating system that meets the individual needs of the user are hallmarks of rem .

Our expertise spans many industries. rem 's holistic approach to plant design incorporates techniques and processing practices learned throughout industry. Working beyond the confinements of a single industry enables rem to tackle the unusual job. We have satisfied customers in the wood products, steel, agriculture, food, textiles, cement and chemical industries as well as municipalities and the federal government. rem has met the power needs for all these customers; we are ready to meet your needs as well.

Through intelligent design, rem optimizes power generation, balancing economics with plant performance. System designs focus on minimizing operations and maintenance requirements for the facility. The result, an rem plant generates power for a fraction of the competition's cost.

rem provides affordable, technical excellence for your energy needs!

rem has supplied and installed numerous "topping cycle" steam turbine generator sets. Steam, generated at a higher pressure than required for process, enters the topping turbine generator and exhausts at the lower process pressure. Electric generation is the byproduct of the manufacturing process. Our "topping" turbine gensets range in size from 22,000 kW to 100 kW. "Bottoming cycle" or condensing steam turbine generators maximize power output per pound of steam. Little usable energy remains in the turbine exhaust steam for process needs. Condensing systems are closed loop, all steam entering the turbine is condensed and returned to the boiler as boiler feedwater to begin the cycle again. rem has designed and installed several "bottoming cycle" plants for the wood products industry. In fact, we have fully developed two plants for the largest producer of power in the United States.
